Making sure the correct school permissions are in place means eligible Ambassadors can safely take part in the off-site Nature Walk.

Follow your school's consent procedures for taking students off-site
Make sure the required permissions are in place ahead of the Nature Walk

Familiarising yourself with the Nature Walk route in advance helps you identify practical or safety considerations and makes it easier to lead the walk confidently.

Agree whether the BEF or SBF will complete the recce
Familiarise yourself with the route and surrounding area
Consider the points covered in the risk assessment
Remember that responsibility for the Nature Walk sits with the school
